Golden Gate Bridge

Information and Communications Technologies are evolving and converging rapidly. They are also increasingly strategic and essential elements of individual and organizational productivity.

As one of 14 National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Resource Centers of Excellence, NCTT and its collaborative of business and education partners are leading a national effort to develop and disseminate an always relevant, industry-driven curriculum to teach and train tomorrow’s ICT technicians and technologists today.

NCTT’s Winter 2007 Conference in San Francisco is an opportunity to participate in and learn about leading efforts to advance ICT technical training in the US. The Conference will offer a presentation on “Trends in ICT Jobs, Salaries and Technology Demand,” presentations by NCTT regional partners on ICT education needs and responses, hands-on demonstrations and presentations of relevant ICT solutions, and opportunities to network and share ideas with leaders and experienced practitioners in these efforts.

NCTT will issue a call for presentations from educators in ICT from around the country. ICT core issues are welcome, as are application scenarios for ICT-dependent industries (i.e. telecommunications in health care).

Please check back here for regularly updated details.

* INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGIES (ICT) is a recognized international term for converging voice, video, data, & computer networking communications technologies.

NCTT has issued a Call for Papers (CFP) for this workshop. This call for papers is to enhance this educator-to-educator learning experience by seeking out technical expertise from around the country, and by presenting the very latest information at our workshop. We are looking for presentations from all facets of ICT. Whether the topic is the network structure at a non-IT company, a classroom application of ICT in another subject area (biology, history, accounting, etc.), an ICT enabled industry (nanotech, supercomputing), or the latest in convergence issues, any ICT related topic will be considered. This is an opportunity to share your ICT expertise with peers from around the country.
