A Workforce Development Conference For Business, Education, and Government:
Partners in Technology Advancement

April 8, 1999

A Synergy of Industry, Education, Government & Economics...

The telecommunications industry over the past five years has undergone unprecedented growth with even greater technological breakthroughs predicted for the upcoming decade. Along with this growth comes the challenge of educating individuals to provide a capable and highly skilled workforce for the telecom industry. In recognition of this growth and the shortage of skilled workers, the National Science Foundation created the NCTT, the only Telecom Center in the country to develop regional and national model workforce development in Telecommunications Technologies.
